SCIENCE EARRINGS - MOSS LEAF UNDER THE MICROSCOPE (ER9)
A leaf was taken from a moss (from the gametophyte stage) and viewed by brightfield microscopy. Moss leaves are only one cell thick and consist of an array of regularly shaped cells. The lighter area in the centre of the cells is the vacuole, which is an aqueous storage compartment, and the darker green organelles around the edges of the cells are the chloroplasts which capture light energy in order to photosynthesise.

Earrings are printed onto one side of 0.5mm thick Aluminium (reverse side plain Aluminium finish) to give a lightweight and durable glossy and scratch resistant earring. Aluminium discs measure 16mm in diameter and are mounted on either silver plated or hypoallergenic surgical steel earring wires (please choose from the drop down menu). Please note that due to the nature of the metal the surgical steel hooks are slightly less bright and shiny than the silver plated ones shown in the image. They still look great though! Total length from top of earwire to bottom of disc 32mm.
