Peridotite from Ardnamurchan, Scotland rock thin section Handbag Mirror (CM42)

A thin rock section of Peridotite was viewed by polarised light microscopy. Peridotite is an igneous rock. From the Ardnamurchan volcano, now eroded down almost to the magma chamber, from where this sample would have originally come. Contains olivine, pyroxene and some feldspar.

60 Million years old. (the most recent volcano in UK)

These elegant and useful mirrors measure 65mm x 74mm (including latch and hinges) and are 8mm thick. They open to reveal a mirror on each side and are ideal to keep in your bag to ensure you always look your best!
