Five botanical plant stem section microscope image cards

These botanical greetings cards show microscope photos of plant stems so make great cards for gardeners, scientists or anyone interested in plants and the world around us.

Cards come with a description of the image on the back.

Stem sections were cut by hand and photograped through a microscope and the images are of (clockwise from top left):

Rose stem section viewed by polarised light microscopy (with retarder filter);

Apple stem section, Toluidine Blue stained, viewed by polarised light microscopy;

Rose stem section, Toluidine Blue stained, viewed by darkfield microscopy;

Carnation stem section, Toluidine Blue stained, viewed by brighftield microscopy;

Lily stem section viewed by polarised light microscopy.

Cards are 150mm (6 inch) square, blank inside and each card is individually packed with a white envelope in a cellophane bag to ensure they are in great condition when you come to use them.
