A thin rock section of Leucite was viewed by polarised light microscopy. This igneous lava rock contains leucite (dark grey) and colourful pyroxene crystals in a volcanic glass matrix. From Vesuvius, Italy, probably from the 1944 eruption.

These facemasks measuring 13 x 17.5cm have a full coverage print on their polyester front with a soft white cotton reverse. They come complete with 2 replaceable PM2.5 filters (8.5 x 12cm) that fit in a pouch between the outer and inner and soft elasticated ear loops (which come with rubber gromets to adjust for size but I normally just tie a loose knot in the elastic).

Please note that these are not medical grade masks but they are perfect for general use. 

(Washing instructions - facemask machine wash at 40C, PM2.5 filter handwash. PM2.5 filter can be replaced with folded up kitchen roll.)
