SCIENCE EARRINGS - ROSE STEM SECTION BY BRIGHTFIELD MICROSCOPY (ER1)
A thin section was cut by hand through a rose stem and stained with Toluidine Blue. Viewed by brightfield microscopy, the cells at the centre of the stem can be seen, with the cell walls stained slightly differently depending on their chemical composition. An unusual and interesting view of a rose!

Earrings are printed onto one side of 0.5mm thick Aluminium (reverse side plain Aluminium finish) to give a lightweight and durable glossy and scratch resistant earring. Aluminium discs measure 16mm in diameter and are mounted on either silver plated or hypoallergenic surgical steel earring wires (please choose from the drop down menu). Please note that due to the nature of the metal the surgical steel hooks are slightly less bright and shiny than the silver plated ones shown in the image. They still look great though! Total length from top of earwire to bottom of disc 32mm.
