A piece of very thin paper tissue (actually Whatman lens cleaning tissue - used for cleaning microscope lenses without scratching) viewed by polarised light microscopy. The crystals that form the fibres due to their regular arrays interfere with the light path and 'twist' the light to give the colours shown.
Interesting and unusual science cufflinks ideal for anyone interested in science and the natural world.
Silver plated cufflinks with a glass dome. The image has been printed on glossy metal so that both the metal and the magnifying glass dome that covers it reflect light. This means that as you move the cufflinks the image has real depth and almost appears 'alive'.
Cufflinks measure 18mm across (16mm glass dome) and 25mm deep (from the back of the swivel mount to the front of the glass dome) and come in a gift box complete with a description of the image.
Free UK delivery.
Delivery charges for overseas orders are calculated in the shopping basket.
Please note these cufflinks are printed to order so will be despatched within 4 working days of order being received.
